Blogmas Day 2: Gift Guide for Her

Giving presents to all my loved ones is one of my favourite parts of Christmas. I got so excited about planning my wrapping (yes I go way overboard with the wrapping!) and actually wrapped all the presents by December 1st and taking photos for the gift guides went out the window. I have picked out 5 of what I think are the top gifts for the women in your life this Christmas whether its your mam, sister or girlfriend. All of the gift ideas are something I am giving as a gift this Christmas

A Ted Baker purse is a gift I think any lady in your life would appreciate, I received one as a gift for my birthday and I am still in love with it. You can choose from beautiful classic designs to bright colours and patterned designs, there is something for everyone. It is the perfect accessory for all year round.

This is currently the must have product in the beauty world and if the lady in your life is a beauty addict this would be the perfect gift for them! The blush palette offers three of their Ambient Blushes one of which is limited edition to this palette. Hourglass claims the blushes creates seamless, subtle, multi-dimensional colour for natural-looking radiance and who doesn't want this?

A more affordable gift now this Body Shop Glaze Apple gift set is so delicious it smells good enough to eat (I wouldn't recommend that though!) You can't go wrong with any of the Body Shop gift sets the Frosted Cranberry range also smells amazing. You get good value for your money and body shop products are great quality.

Jo Malone are knocking it out of the park this year with Christmas gifts. Here is one of their candles in Sweet Almond and Macaroon candle which smells absolutely divine. It comes beautifully wrapped and at £40 this is definitely a luxurious gift.

The most luxurious and expensive gift in my gift guide is this Tom Ford quad. I would be beyond excited to receive anything from Tom Ford as everything in his line is absolutely stunning. Even with the soul destroying price of £63 these palettes make the perfect luxurious gifts. The shadows themselves are pigmented and buttery smooth, the packaging is not only utterly beautiful but practical too.

If your looking for inspiration for your own Christmas wishlist or gifts for your loved ones I hope you found this post useful.

Dior Addict IT Lash Mascara

I've been MIA for what seems like forever from my blog, my bad! So to kick things off again I'm back today with a product review. Like myself if you have found yourself on the hunt for that "Holy Grail" mascara then fear not Dior Addict IT Lash is the answer to all your prays! IT Lash is Dior's latest mascara that promises length, volume and vibrant colour and let me tell you it delivers!

The packaging for IT Lash isn't like the regular Dior mascara packaging, it is housed it a sleek square tube similar to Dior Addict Glosses. The wand of the mascara is made from rubber, my personal preference when it comes to mascara wands. The wand is straight with short spikey bristles with bristles on the very tip of the wand, similar to Benefit They're Real mascara. The bristles are firm but flexible making application to those awkward hard to reach lashes a breeze.

The formula for IT Lash is not to wet and dries quickly. Although IT Lash is not a waterproof mascara it has not flaked, transferred or smudged on me. I have found the mascara holds a curl extremely well, separates and declumps the lashes as you apply, the staying power of this mascara is outstanding and still looks the same at the end of the day when you come to remove your makeup. Speaking of removing the mascara it is the easiest mascara I have ever came across to remove!

While IT Lash is predominately a lengthening mascara, it gives the desired amount of volume however I have found that extra volume is easily achieved by using the tip of the mascara wand. Although I haven't had the guts to splash out on one of the coloured mascaras IT- Black is visibly more intensely black than any other mascara I have tried. Like all high end brands this mascara comes with the hefty price tag of £22 although expensive I'd say it was worth it.

The bottom line is Dior IT Lash mascara has you covered for those perfect lashes we all desire.

This week I've been loving this fresh/natural makeup look. Earlier in the week I bit the bullet cut my hair cut. I had been wanting my hair cut shorter for a while as I found it boring and "lifeless" so I got 7 inches got off and some layers added for some volume. I am absolutely loving it!

I am for sure a girl who gets stuck in a rut with my makeup until I get completely bored of the product. April Beauty Favourites

My first ever favourites post, eek! It was always favourite post's that inspired me to created my own blog and now here I am writing my own. A very surreal moment right now!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette £37

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I'm going to kick this favourites off with my beloved Urban Decay Naked 3 palette! My favourite shades I have been using are Dust, Nooner and Liar. Argghh I'm just so in love with this little baby, I couldn't say enough good things about it if I tried. From the colours, the pigmentation, the texture and quality of the shadows- everything is just perfect about it! At a hefty price tag of £37 I would say if your going to buy any of the Naked Palettes, I would definitely say choose this one! I will do a full review on this palette.

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Scrub

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Scrub smells absolutely DIVINE. This isn't my most favourite scrub ever. It's a very harsh scrub so I only just once every two weeks but the smell is just so good to not use. It leaves silky layer of moisture meaning I don't need to use an another body moisturiser.

M.A.C MSF Stero Rose £22

M.A.C MSF Stero Rose

I have completely falling head over heels with this MSF and I only purchased it at the beginning of the month. It was released in a Mac Collection and I do believe its Limited Edition- Unfortunately. I have been loving wearing it on my eyes or as a blush for a healthy lit from within glow. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Jessop Makeup Brushes £12.98

Believe it or not but these brushes were bought on eBay. I got them in a set of 10 for the bargain price of £12.98! Can you believe it? I certainly can't. I'd go as far as saying they are more than just dupes for Sigma brushes, I'd say they're better. I bought mine off eBay, as they do come from China they took 3-4 weeks to get here. I have been using the flat top kabuki brush for my foundation, the angled kabuki brush for cream blusher and lastly the small domed fluffy brush for my concealer. I'm just in LOVE.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer £22

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I haven't been able to stop using this concealer since I've bought it. I've always struggled with concealers I've never been able to find the right one- the right consistency, pigmentation and colour shade but this Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is PERFECTION. It has great coverage, it's highly pigmented and very blendable.

M.A.C Lovelorn Lipstick £15
This Mac lipstick is in Lovelorn. It has been my go to shade this month, I love it for everyday. It is a lustre finish, my favourite from Mac. I'm considering doing a separate blog post on all my Mac lipsticks. Comment below if you'd like to see that post.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

My last favourite. I received this as a gift from my lovely boyfriend Richard for valentines day and I just love it. I'm always snapping away with. I think it's such a cute way to capture memories.

Well that was a long post! I've thoroughly enjoyed doing my 1st ever favourites. I hope you have too.

Celebrating.

This weekend I celebrated my boyfriends 23rd birthday.
As his actual birthday was on May 1st we were unable to celebrate his birthday until the weekend. On Saturday we had a lazy relaxing day. Richard opened his presents then we went shopping on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening we went for a meal and cocktails at a restaurant in Ponteland called Fratelli's. The food was amazing and the cocktails went down a treat. We both would recommend the restaurant a 100% and will certainly be returning again soon.

I had an amazing weekend celebrating and just generally relaxing.
I hope you's all had an amazing weekend too.
